We’ve teamed up with entrepreneur and influencer Benthe Liem for our very first mini collab collection! Benthe Liem recently celebrated her dream wedding with close family and friends at the stunning Masseria Moroseta in Puglia, Italy. The serene, natural beauty of the location inspired her to create a special collection in collaboration with Kulu Club.

The napkins from the collection were part of the elegant table setting and their wedding guests were gifted the personalized napkins. In this interview, Benthe shares the story behind her wedding and the creative process that led to this collection.

Masseria Moroseta is a dream! How did you choose the location for your destination wedding?

I've always had this dream of getting married in a beautiful setting, surrounded by family and friends. It's something I've envisioned for a long time, even before I got engaged. To be honest, I had a Pinterest board dedicated to my wedding about five years ago, and this exact location was already pinned on it! I fell in love with it back then, and I just knew it was the perfect place if I were ever to get married.

When we got engaged, the first thing I told our wedding planner was about this stunning venue. It’s modern but still holds the local charm, with amazing food and wines from the area. The funny thing is, I had been following the chef on Instagram for a while before we even considered this venue, so it felt like all the pieces just fell into place.

I always knew I wanted a destination wedding, somewhere sunny, where everyone could truly relax and enjoy. The specific location didn’t matter as much as the vibe, and this place captured everything I had imagined.

Let's talk organisation! How did the wedding planning process go? What parts did you enjoy the most?

I had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted, thanks to all my Pinterest boards, but I wasn’t sure if it would all be possible. I didn’t want to get my hopes up too high, but in the end, everything I envisioned came to life! Our wedding planner was amazing at handling all the logistics and timelines, but we were also very hands-on with certain details.

We worked together using a shared Pinterest board, where I uploaded all my ideas, and she ran with them. The planning started about two years ago, and our first step was securing the venue. We knew we wanted to get married at the end of September, and by starting early, we had plenty of time to make sure every detail was perfect.

Isi, my fiancé, was involved throughout the process, too. He has a great eye for design and often had opinions on how things should look, which I really appreciated. Even though I took the lead on most of the planning, his input was valuable, especially since he was very busy building his new business, Bennies. I think we made a great team!

Reflecting on your wedding day, what was the most memorable moment for you?

One of the most memorable moments of the wedding was during our entrance. As we were making our way in, it suddenly started to rain! At first, I was a bit in panic, but it turned out to be just a few drops and lasted only a couple of minutes. There's a superstition in Italy that rain on the wedding day brings good luck, so that made it even more special. The napkins that we've designed together had their special moment as everyone took their napkins and put them on their heads to shield themselves from the rain, which turned into a lighthearted, fun moment. It was such a cute and memorable scene.

The Kulu Club x Benthe Liem collection turned out amazing! What inspired you while creating this collection?

The olive trees at our wedding venue were a huge inspiration! They’re so timeless and serene, and I wanted to reflect that in the collection. I love clean lines and minimal colors, so most of the mood boards had this muted palette. We decided to add a soft pop of green to complement the natural surroundings, and it turned out beautifully.

The wavy Kulu Club signature patterns also felt like a perfect match, especially since our wedding invitations had a similar wavy design. I have to give Isi some credit here too; he helped me make sure everything felt cohesive, from the colors of the napkins to the placemats. Together, we created something that felt meaningful, not just for us but for others to enjoy as well.

What's your favorite item from the collection? And how does it feel knowing people will use these items for their special moments?

My absolute favorite item is the sage green napkins, which we personalized for our guests on our wedding day. The napkins were also souvenir to take home, we thought of it as a beautiful way to make sure our celebration stays with them long after the event. Everyone absolutely loved the napkins and immediately tucked them away in their bags!

What excites me the most is that my audience has grown with me over the years. A lot of the women who follow me now are at the stage where they’re setting up their own homes or living with their partners, and I think these pieces will resonate with them. It’s like creating something for friends who are on a similar journey.

Do you enjoy hosting dinners? What do you focus on when styling your table?

Yes, I absolutely love hosting dinners! I hosted a few during my birthday celebrations, and it was such a joy. Even when it’s just the two of us at home, I enjoy setting the table nicely. Right now, we're in the process of upgrading our home, so I’m really focusing on creating spaces that feel special.

Cooking for others is something I genuinely enjoy. There's something so heartwarming about preparing a meal and gathering around a beautifully set table. It’s cozy, intimate, and makes any meal feel like a celebration. I love making those moments memorable, whether it's for a special occasion or just a casual dinner at home.
